Inky Line Drawings

I've always been drawn to the power of line drawings. Seeing the drawings of artists like Matisse, Picasso, and David Hockney have profoundly impacted my work, inspiring me to strive for simplicity and authenticity. For me, line drawings distill the essence and strip away any unnecessary distractions, leaving only the purest form of expression.

Despite their apparent effortlessness, creating a line drawing requires a great deal of skill and dedication. That's why I always begin by meticulously sketching my ideas in pencil, allowing me to clarify my vision and hone in on the story. From there, I can confidently select the right pastel or brush to bring the piece to life.
